The DigiUni project “Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative” – innovations in Ukrainian higher education has been launched

The DigiUni project “Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative” has been launched. The project is an EU initiative to develop higher education in Ukraine under martial law and post-war renewal.

DigiUni’s goal is to provide continuous, high-quality, inclusive and transparent education regardless of the location of students and teachers, using digital innovation.

DigiUni is also aimed at supporting students who continued their studies in Ukraine during martial law. In addition, the project will help strengthen ties between Ukrainian universities, their students and teachers forced to leave Ukraine.

On March 25, a founding meeting was held in Kyiv with representatives of universities and organizations from France, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic and Poland, 10 Ukrainian universities-members of the consortium, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education and the Ukrainian Association of IT Professionals During the meeting, they discussed the specifics of the project implementation, the timing and results for each stage, the content and plan for conducting trainings and other planned events until 2027.
