Technology of fastening mine workings from composite materials

Advantages. The technology for fastening mine workings made of composite materials is characterized by a more uniform distribution of stress between the top and risers and a reduction in stress around the fastening contour, due to this, the labor intensity of work performed with the acceleration of technological work is reduced, as well as the safety of miners by making the structure lighter.

Technical and economic effect. The use of the proposed technology ensures savings in material resources (reduction of the specific weight of fastening 1 linear meter), release of 2-3 mining workers on the site, which will save labor resources. Conditions for increasing occupational safety will make it possible to receive an additional 10–15 thousand UAH per 1 linear meter, while the number of workings in just one coal mine is more than 100 km.

The essence of the technology is based on the implementation of the process of supporting mine workings during mining by using a new fastening technology made of composite materials (carbon plastics), which solves the problem of the stability of mine workings, saving materials and labor resources and significantly increasing labor safety. The technology, through the use of innovative support made of composite materials (carbon fiber reinforced plastics), regardless of the operating conditions of coal deposits, ensures the stability of mine workings under various anomalies of rock pressure, the load on the powered longwall support and the intensity of the seams. The technology solves the problem of mining stability, saving material and labor resources and labor safety.
