Purpose. The installation for electrospark mechanical treatment of steel using process fluids is designed to protect metals from corrosion and improve the performance characteristics of paint and varnish coatings.
Scope. The installation can be used in the metallurgical and mechanical engineering industries.
Advantages. The created method of steel processing allows to reduce the energy costs of the process of electrospark mechanical treatment of steel by 30-40% and increase the surface cleanliness class by 3 units, which ensures effective anti-corrosion protection of steel.
Description. Purposefully developed synergistic mixtures of surfactants and corrosion inhibitor compositions formed the basis of the created process fluids for the electrospark mechanical method of preparing steel surfaces with the TSMI-150 electric grinder, the working tool in which was a rotating disk brush made of X18N9 steel. The installation diagram of the method for preparing iron surfaces is shown in the schematic diagram. Between the sample of steel st20 and the tool, a voltage of 1.7 V was applied at a direct current of 17 A and a brush rotation frequency of 25 s_1. The effect of the method is achieved due to the thermal effect of the spark electric current and the mechanical impact action of the ends of the brush darts on the metal surface, resulting in a soft destruction of the surface layers of the metal. The technological lubricating and cooling liquid MOR_NAU, developed by us, containing surface-active and inhibitory compositions of synergistic action was supplied to the processing zone using a special dispenser.
