Holographic television system

Purpose. For registration of high-energy particles.

Application area. Production of television systems.

Advantages. The proposed methods and principles of construction of color volumetric holographic systems are quite promising and, unlike stereoscopic television, will be cheaper and better in operation when implemented in production. Holographic television systems are compatible with existing information transmission channels and add qualitatively new technical extensions to them.

Description. The device consists of a STEP-FD detector unit installed in open space on the platform of a spacecraft and a STEP-FE electronics unit located in a sealed compartment of the satellite. The STEP-F device registers electrons with energies of 0.2-3 MeV, protons with energies of 3.7-60 MeV and alpha particles with energies of 16-180 MeV. The largest geometric factor for low-energy particles is 22 cm2 sr. Weight – 17 kg, overall dimensions: STEP-FD – 337x395x293 mm, STEP-FE – 95x287x160 mm; power consumption – 48 watts.
