Purpose. To ensure food security of Ukraine, increase the efficiency of beef production and improve its quality. The use of this bull feeding technology allows for the optimal use of nutrients in the diet, reduces feed costs per unit of production and creates favorable conditions for obtaining high-quality beef.
Technical properties. The technology provides for the use of chelated deficient microelements with amino acids methionine and lysine in feeding Ukrainian Black-and-White dairy bulls, as well as in the composition of biologically active additives during different periods of fattening. This allows for an increase in the live weight of bulls by 4.1%, a 5.8% heavier carcass and an additional increase in high-quality meat with better physical and chemical indicators and sanitary properties. The use of protein and vitamin premix will contribute to an increase in average daily gains by 4.5-9.6%, an increase in the meat index by 11.1% and an increase in premium meat by 27.3%.

Technical and economic effect. A concept is proposed for feeding fattening young cattle of the Ukrainian Black-and-White dairy breed using lysinates and methionates and protein-vitamin-mineral supplements of chelate microelements. Practical justification for the use of various types of mineral supplements expands the existing knowledge about mineral nutrition of animals of the meat productivity direction. Optimization of mineral nutrition of animals and poultry by introducing mineral chelate microelement supplements into the diet increases the productivity of fattening young animals and the quality of the products obtained. Enrichment of animal feed rations with microelement compounds in the proposed doses contributed to the improvement of the qualitative and quantitative indicators of meat, its biological value increases. The socio-economic effect is to ensure the production of high-quality and safe beef to saturate the Ukrainian meat market.
Description. The technology was created based on the use of methionates and deficient lysinates of microelements, a protein-vitamin premix with chelated microelements in the diet of bulls in different periods of fattening. A technology was developed for feeding bulls with methionates and lysinates of chelated microelements in different periods of fattening on the growth rate and metabolism of nutrients, meat indicators, a veterinary and sanitary examination of beef was carried out, a positive effect of the protein-vitamin-mineral supplement of bulls, an increase in meat productivity indicators, an improvement in the morphological composition and quality of the carcass were established, recommendations were developed for the use of methionates and lysinates of chelated microelements in the diet of dairy bulls.
