Purpose. The development can be used as a mobile (at mining sites) or stationary (at existing mineral fertilizer plants) for obtaining granules of porous ammonium nitrate.
Technical properties. The vortex granulator has a capacity of up to 10 t/hour for the finished product, the final product has a monodispersity degree of up to 98%, humidity up to 0.2%, the holding capacity in relation to diesel fuel distillate is 7-8%, the strength of the granules is 300-350 g / granule.
Scope. The vortex granulator is preferably used in the chemical industry and can be used for granulating various substances from solutions and melts.
Advantages. The most important advantages of the development are: the possibility of significantly reducing the overall dimensions (in particular, the height) of the working space; an increase in the time the granule remains in the working space of the vortex apparatus; the ability to control the movement of granules in the working space of the granulator; the ability to create intense turbulence in the volume of the working space of the granulator; versatility (the ability to carry out granulation and drying processes in the volume of one device); manufacturability and ease of manufacture; the ability to quickly change over and change design and technological parameters if necessary.
Description. The vortex granulator allows you to obtain granulated products without using granulation towers. Its operation is based on the method of granulation from melts, solutions and suspensions based on improving the dynamics of the granule flow.
