METHOD FOR EXTRACTION OF PIPOPHYSIS FROM PIGS HEAD AFTER SLAUGHTER

The essence of this method is that after preliminary preparation of the pig’s head with a cutter between the tympanic vesicles of the temporal bone along the seam of the junction of the body of the occipital and sphenoid bones, a bone-tissue piece of the Turkish saddle with the pituitary gland is cut out with dimensions: diameter 2.0 cm, depth 1.5-2,0 cm. A piece of the cut-out part of the skull, in which the pituitary gland is located, is removed from the cutter body. The body of the cutter, which rotates due to diamond dusting, cuts the pituitary gland. The pituitary gland is removed along with the depression of the sella turcica along the funnel-shaped stem without additional cleaning, the depth of the cut is controlled through the saddleback, the saddle-bow and holes to control the depth of the cut. The period from the moment of the slaughter of the animal to the removal of the pituitary gland is not more than 2 hours. The entire operation of removing the pituitary gland takes 5-10 minutes. This makes it possible to speed up the process of removing the pituitary gland and process more pigs.
