OPTOELECTRONIC COMPLEXES FOR DETERMINING THE STATE OF PERIPHERAL CIRCULATION

Description: The optoelectronic complex is designed to detect microcirculation disorders of the cardiovascular system by recording, processing and storing photoplethysmograms of blood vessels using hardware. An important indicator characterizing the level of the obtained scientific result is that due to the use of optoelectronic sensors for recording biomedical signals operating in the infrared and red ranges, an absolutely safe and comfortable diagnosis of various age groups and the physical condition of the population (including very serious patients, for example, after an accident, burns, etc.), the safe working conditions of the service personnel and the quality of medical care is improved.

Technical characteristics: The main technical characteristics of the developed complex correspond to modern technical requirements for similar systems and modern technologies. The complex allows you to register a photoplethysmogram (PPG) simultaneously along two channels in the peripheral arteries; perform hardware and software interference filtering; to measure the amplitude-time characteristics of PPG; perform the calculation of PPG parameters in relative units; perform work with the patient database.

Advantages: PPG in comparison with other methods of diagnostics of a biological object (BO) by optical indicators, for example, with a photoacoustic method, makes it possible to increase the reliability of recording hemodynamic indicators of blood filling, as well as the fact that by introducing elements of fiber technology and sources with different wavelengths of probing radiation, it is possible to quite accurately solve the problems of photodynamic studies, remote measurements of certain hemodynamic parameters of the control unit.

Estimated development cost: UAH 250 thousand.

Development readiness stage: A prototype has been manufactured, experimental optical and electronic circuits have been worked out, and the planned characteristics have been confirmed. Production of design documentation and an order for a complete set at the development stage.
