INDICATORS FOR FORECASTING NEGATIVE CHANGES IN HYDROECOSYSTEMS OF THE AZOV-BLACK SEA REGION

Prospects for further implementation in 2020 – 2021: completed.

Research level: no analogues in Ukraine.

Availability of a patent: no.

What additional actions requires further research in 2020: It is planned to use the research results in the development of a strategy for the management of water bodies and key biological groups of the Azov-Black Sea region. The direction of this topic requires further funding, taking into account the need to develop and implement management plans for water bodies operating under conditions of significant anthropogenic loads and climatic changes. The research carried out will make it possible to develop a strategy for the management of these reservoirs and key biological groups that are in the zone of the greatest ecological risk. It is also important that the results of these works can become a methodological basis for organizing monitoring of the state of the sea areas of Ukraine.

Brief characteristics, advantages, further application perspective.

The dynamic indicators of individual components of the hydroecosystem make it possible to assess not only the state of the groups themselves, but also the conditions (ecological state) of the aquatic environment in which they develop. Their use during the monitoring of hydroecosystems makes it possible to track long-term changes in aquatic ecosystems. The research carried out is of great scientific and practical importance, given the possibility of establishing indicator indicators of the state of the main components of hydroecosystems under conditions of climate change. The information received will be introduced in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine and in local authorities of Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia regions in order to reduce negative changes in hydroecosystems.
