Corrosion monitoring device PCM

DESCRIPTION:

PCM is built on an analog-to-digital converter and a processor with a random access memory converter and non-volatile memory, which provides information collection through two channels:

    • on the first – analogue, the change in the electrochemical parameter is recorded during the accumulation of damage in the metal;
    • on the second – the number of electrochemical impulses, indicating the development of cracks in it.

The device is mounted in a measuring circuit together with a single-electrode sensor. Measure the potential difference between it and the metal section of the equipment, controlled. The main criterion by which the degree of metal damage can be assessed is the abrupt (impulse) nature of the change in the electrochemical response to crack growth. The device allows you to start monitoring the technological equipment of the chemical industry at any stage of its operation and ensures the establishment of the degree of its damage, does not require preliminary experimental determination of the electrochemical characteristics of the deformed metal.
