Use of permanent identifiers of scientists and institutions, their role in the scientific ecosystem – webinars for scientists

From September 29, the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine (SSTL of Ukraine), with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in cooperation with ORCID, is launching a series of webinars and master classes on the topic “Use of permanent identifiers of scientists and institutions, their role in the scientific ecosystem. ORCID Tools for Scientists”.

The webinar series focuses on the following topics:

  • using permanent ORCID identifiers to identify scientists and institutions, combining and improving the search for scientific heritage;
  • the benefits of institutions using the open tools that ORCID offers to improve research infrastructure, and the relationship between persistent identifiers, open access and FAIR data.

We will also talk about the National Electronic Scientific Information System (URIS) (Ukrainian Research Information System), since it is associated with permanent identifiers.

To participate in the series of webinars, everyone needs to register by clicking on the link specified in the program. Webinars will be held online using the Zoom platform and with live broadcast on the YouTube channel of the State Scientific Technical Library of Ukraine.
