The French company is looking for a supplier of high-resolution turbidity meters for online measurement of water turbidity in private swimming pools

The French company is looking for a supplier of high-resolution turbidity meters for online measurement of turbidity in the hydraulic circuit of family swimming pools in private homes. The company is looking for turbidity sensors capable of measuring small changes in turbidity (0.1 nephelometric turbidity units) with a measurement range of 0 to 5 NTU in water at temperatures between 1 ° C and 40 ° C. The company looks forward to long-term cooperation with manufacturers of turbidity meters under a distribution agreement.

The French company, founded in 1985 with an annual turnover of over 50 million euros, is completing an innovative project aimed at reducing energy consumption in swimming pool cleaning circuits in private homes. Existing filtration systems consume a lot of energy, operating many hours a day, possibly longer than necessary.

To save energy, filtration pumps must be started / stopped when necessary, i.e. when a change in turbidity is detected. Thus, the company is looking for high-resolution turbidity meters that can measure small changes in water turbidity online (0.1 NTU) in the pool water circuit. Ideally, turbidity meters should be equipped with sampling chambers.

Requirements for the characteristics of turbidity meters:
-Online turbidity measurement
-Measuring range: 0-5 NTU
-Resolution: 0.1 NTU
-Output signal: 4-20mA.

Operating conditions:
– Ambient temperature: -5 ° C to 50 ° C
-Temperature of the withdrawn water in the pool: from 1 ° C to 40 ° C
-Maximum pressure of taken water from the pool: 2 bar
-Environment is potentially aggressive (possible presence of liquid chlorine and acid canisters in the room where the turbidity meter will be installed)
-Selected liquid: swimming pool water with a pH of 6.5 to 8.0 typically (5 to 8.5 sometimes) and a chlorine or bromine level of 1 to 3 ppm during normal operation and which can rise to 12 ppm ppm during shock chlorination or bromination (over a period of 24 to 48 hours maximum)
-Resistant to hydrogen peroxide up to 40 ppm
-Hydraulic connection of the turbidity meter: the flow in the main pipe of the pool hydraulic circuit varies from 5 m3 / h to 50 m3 / h
-The main pipe is made of rigid PVC and can have an outer diameter of 50 to 110 mm
-The online turbidity meter must be installed as a bypass of the pool hydraulic circuit, in a smaller pipe
-Installation of the turbidity meter in the circuit should be as simple as possible
-The sample socket is installed between the filter pump and the filter.

The turbidity meter may require a sampling chamber to return the sample to the pool hydraulic circuit after the filter.

The French company is looking for a partner who can supply turbidity meters that allow online measurement of the turbidity of the water in the hydraulic circuit of a family swimming pool. A long-term partnership with a turbidity meter supplier is required under a distribution agreement.

Annual demand> 100 turbidity meters.
