A device and technology for strengthening the rolling of steel parts (rope blocks, pulleys, bushings, etc.) operating under contact crushing by rollers have been developed. Production tests on shiploaders “KRUPP” (Germany) with a lifting capacity of 40 tons and truck cranes KS – 3575 with a lifting capacity of 10 tons under conditions of intense tribocontact wear of the friction pair “rope block – rope” and therefore durability by 3 – 4 times. Accordingly, the durability of the ropes has also increased, since the bending of the rope darts on the unevenness of the worn rope block has been eliminated. The annual economic effect from the introduction of measures for rolling rope blocks in order to increase their wear resistance and contact strength at OJSC MGZ and ODO Nikolaevstroymekhanizatsiya amounted to more than 70,000 UAH. per year, which is confirmed by acts of introduction into production.
