The work is based on materials of expedition trips (Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Zakarpattia, Nikolaev, Donetsk regions), during which 257 descriptions of epilithic lichen groups on silicate outcrops of the Ukrainian crystalline shield were made. Descriptions of groups of epilithic lichen groups were made on test plots of different areas. The species composition of lichens and lichenophilic fungi was checked at the Laboratory of Biodiversity and Ecological Monitoring named after V.I. I.K. Pachosky Kherson State University using microscopic technique. The description was posted in the TURBOWEG 2 database.
Based on the results of the research, a syntaxonomic scheme of lichen groups of silicate outcrops of the Ukrainian Crystalline Shield was proposed for the first time, which includes four classes known in Europe: Rhizocarpetea geographici, Leprarietea chlorinae, Collematetea cristati and Ceratodonto purpurei-Polytricheteaiferi. associations (all the latest for science). According to the results of the research, 11 species of lichens new to Ukraine were identified.
