Brief description, advantages, further prospects for application.

A method has been developed for the differentiated treatment of post-traumatic epilepsy and the correction of autonomic dysfunctions as a consequence of traumatic brain injury. The authors for the first time proposed treatment that begins after the study of autonomic tone and the corresponding individual approach to each patient, depending on the severity of autonomic dysfunction and control of autonomic tone over the course of seizures.

The proposed method allows to increase the effectiveness of the treatment of these diseases, taking into account the autonomous status, depending on the severity of autonomic dysfunction and autonomic tone in the course of seizures and the selection of optimal combinations against convulsive and additive drugs, significantly reducing the number of paroxysms, improving brain bioelectrogenesis, the state of the autonomic nervous system of autonomic tone in 70%, stopping vegetative crisis states in 88.2% of cases.

Practical significance: in medical institutions of the neurological service of Ukraine, a certain method will significantly increase the effectiveness of the treatment of patients who have a threat of existence in case of traumatic brain injury with associated epileptic seizures, by controlling focal seizures and simultaneous ANS disorders and inhibiting the progression of epileptogenesis and comorbid autonomic dysfunctions.
