Biocompatible implants based on hybrid hydrogels

Purpose. To restore anatomical and functional disorders in the maxillofacial region, primarily prosthetics of the soft tissues of the orbit, auricle and bone structures.

Specifications. A hybrid composite based on polyvinyl alcohol and an acrylic hydrogel incorporated into its pore space. It is made in the form of tapes 60×10 mm in size, 1-2 mm thick, as well as balls 16-20 mm in diameter or plates 10×60, 70×70, 20×70 in size and 5-15 mm thick. Performed preclinical studies.

Application area. Medicine. Orthopedics.

Advantages. In terms of operational parameters and biomedical characteristics, well-known domestic and foreign analogues prevail. Characterized by high biocompatibility, no resorption, low antigenicity, the possibility of incorporating drugs and ensuring their prolonged release, as well as obtaining materials of various shapes, configurations and the necessary elasticity, modeling during operations, ease of stitching and fixation.
