The investment wing of Sigma Software Sigma Software Labs together with the Ukrainian Startup Fund (UFS) are launching a competition for UNICORN startups. Applications for participation in the competition can be submitted until November 1, 2023.
- Ukrainian projects in the early stages that have not attracted more than $500,000 are invited to participate. Organizers are primarily interested in b2b projects in the fields of adtech, AI, AR/VR, aviation, automotive, Big Data, blockchain, cybersecurity, edtech, fintech and machine learning .
- The competition will be held in a format that includes educational webinars, networking events and project pitches. In particular, there will be:
- two weeks of training program on how to build a startup and avoid common mistakes;
- educational and networking events;
- pitching opportunities;
- prizes: non-refundable grant of 2 x 1000 euros and 1 x 3000 euros.
- The UNICORN startup competition (previously called IT_EUREKA) was founded by the Tempus educational program back in 2014. The project was supported by the Swedish Sigma Group and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. At the end of the Tempus program, Sigma Software became the main organizer of the competition. In 2021, Sigma Software Labs became the main organizer of the competition. Over 8 years, more than 2,200 participants presented more than 900 projects at the competition.
