Casting heat-resistant corrosion-resistant alloy

Purpose. For obtaining cast parts.

Scope. Transgases of Ukraine operate land-based gas turbine units and enterprises developing new generation units.

Advantages. The proposed alloy SMI-3UM has mechanical properties at the level of aviation non-corrosion-resistant alloys ZhS-6K, ZhS-6U. At the same time, the alloy SMI-3UM has heat resistance and manufacturability, when obtaining blades by the method of directional crystallization, preferable to known corrosion-resistant alloys – analogues, for example, IN-738LC, IN-939, DS GTD-111 (USA) and TsNK-7, TsNK-8 (Russia).

Technical and economic effect. Replacement of IN-738LC and SMI-3U alloys, widely used for working blades of TVT gas-pumping units GTK-10I, GTK-25I, with the developed SMI-3UM alloy will increase their service life by 1.5 – 2 times and significantly reduce the number of repair kits of blades or replacement with new ones. In addition, when upgrading gas-pumping units of this type, this will increase their efficiency by 5-6% with the existing resource, due to an increase in the operating temperature of the blade metal by 50-600C.

Description. The developed foundry corrosion-resistant heat-resistant alloy SMI-3UM is intended for obtaining cast parts by both directional (mono) and equilibrium crystallization for stationary power and gas-pumping units operating under high-temperature exposure to aggressive environments, in order to replace IN3 alloys.
